Pursuant to Government Code, Chapter 551 Section 551.071 - Consultation with and advice from legal counsel regarding any item on this agenda, pending or contemplated litigation, or other legal matters.
Energy Sector Permian Basin Energy Sector Funding Update (Presentation) Staff will provide an update on the work of the Permian Promise including the additional $600M adopted in the 2020 Unified Transportation Program.
Safety Staff will present and discuss three safety related topics. (1) Safety Program Funding Update (Presentation) Staff will provide an update on the work of the Safety Task Force including the additional $600M adopted in the 2020 Unified Transportation Program.
Statewide Truck Parking Study (Presentation) The Statewide Truck Parking Study represents the first comprehensive analysis of truck parking in Texas. The study identifies and prioritizes current and future truck parking needs and challenges, as well as potential impacts across the state. The study outlines comprehensive policy, outreach, coordination, technology, program, and infrastructure recommendations, and an implementation roadmap for addressing the identified needs. Staff will provide an overview of the findings and recommendations of the study.
Speed Zones (Presentation) Staff will provide information on setting of regulatory speed limits on publicly traveled roadways, including those under repair or reconstruction, as an important tool in promoting safety and efficient operations on the highway system.
Rural and Statewide Connectivity (Presentation) Staff will present and facilitate discussion on statewide and rural connectivity

Executive Session -Pursuant to Government Code, Chapter 551 Section 551.071 - Consultation with and advice from legal counsel regarding any item on this agenda, pending or contemplated litigation, or other legal matters. OPEN COMMENT PERIOD - At the conclusion of all other agenda items, the commission will allow an open comment period, not to exceed one hour, to receive public comment on any other matter that is under the jurisdiction of the department. No action will be taken. Each speaker will be allowed a maximum of three minutes. Speakers must be signed up prior to the beginning of the open comment period. ADJOURN
